The Colorado Buffaloes are once again the talk of the nation after quarterback Shedeur Sanders shined bright in the season opener against North Dakota State.
The Buffaloes quarterback threw for 445 yards and four touchdowns on the night and showed poise in the pocket, per ESPN.
It has now led to his name being talked about heading to a Super Bowl contender.
That has you wondering how a Super Bowl contender could grab him anyway if they are a contender.
On Friday’s edition of ESPN’s Get Up, NFL analyst, former New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins executive Mike Tannenbaum laid out how the Dallas Cowboys could end up drafting Shedeur Sanders.
Tannenbaum predicted that if the Cowboys are around 15th to 18th in the draft, they could take multiple first-round picks and use that in a deal along with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to trade it all in order to get in the top-3 of the draft in order to take Shedeur Sanders.
“There’s a better chance, in my opinion, that Shedeur Sanders could be the quarterback [for the Cowboys] next year than Dak Prescott at this point,” Tannenbaum declared.
He finished by stating that the Cowboys need to get a younger, better quarterback in Shedeur Sanders while mentioning how much cheaper he would be than what Dak Prescott would command in his new deal.
As you can hear from his co-workers, nobody agreed with his assessment.
Where Will Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders Be Picked in Deep 2025 QB Class?
The 2024 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror, and now we can start speaking on who will be going in the first round next year.
Despite six QBs going early in the first round this season, it’s a safe bet that the position will once again be highly sought after, and Shedeur Sanders is a top player at his position that teams will want.
In a fairly deep quarterback class that lacks an obvious choice at No. 1, Sanders is looking to emerge as the top prospect in his final collegiate season.
Another monster season from him could likely see him taken in the top three.
