Andy Reid and John Harbaugh made sure to pay their respects to each other following the NFL season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.
After the Chiefs beat the Ravens 27-20 to get their three-peat bid off to a terrific start, Reid and Harbaugh were seen sharing a postgame hug and handshake on the field.
The Chiefs’ X account shared the moment and captioned it, “Two of the best in the game. Good game, Ravens!”
Sure enough, the postgame handshake between the two elite coaches quickly went viral, with fans showering them with praise for making the incredible game possible.
The post from the Chiefs has already been viewed over 30,000 times in less than 30 minutes after it was posted.
“HOF Coaches,” a fan wrote. Another one said, “Two of the best.”
A third commenter echoed the same sentiment, noting, “Two of the best in the game. Good game.”
“Two of the best going head-to-head! Great game, Ravens!” a Chiefs supporter furthered.
Indeed, both Andy Reid and John Harbaugh can be proud of the performances their respective teams showed on Thursday night.
It was too close for comfort for Reid and the Chiefs, but they proved to everyone that they are more than ready to go for a third-straight title with a big-time win.
As for Harbaugh and the Ravens, they were so close to extending the contest if not for Isaiah Likely’s extra-long cleats. Still, they can hold their heads high knowing that they are capable of going the distance against the reigning Super Bowl champs.
