Alex Fudge had the unique honor of playing for the team that won the In-Season Tournament and the team that went to the NBA Finals last season.

That’s because he was a member of both the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks in 2023-24.

Now, after some time away, he’s coming back to L.A.

The Lakers announced that they have signed Fudge for the upcoming season.

Fudge averaged 2.5 points per game last season, shooting 40 percent from the field and only playing in six games.

He also spent a lot of time in the G League, where he got much more time on the court.

Fudge’s output was very limited last season, and fans shouldn’t expect to see a lot more from him in the months ahead.

Still, he could be some support for the Lakers, who haven’t made any big moves in the offseason.

Aside from drafting Dalton Knecht and Bronny James, they didn’t add any notable players.

They did get a brand new coach, JJ Redick, which could obviously be a major benefit for them.

But fans should expect to see a Lakers squad that looks nearly identical to the one from last season.

That team ended as the seventh seed in the West and was pushed out of the playoffs in the opening round.

They are hoping to achieve a lot more in 2024-25.

Fudge isn’t a huge signing but he may be the last one before training camp starts.

The Lakers need all the help they can get, and Fudge will try his best to pitch in.
