The Kansas City Chiefs have been plagued by injuries the entire offseason, but they were able to avoid them entirely in their Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
They were able to get the win 27-20 in a game that ended in nail-biting fashion, and it was a fantastic game to start the season. After the game, Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid provided a very reassuring injury update.
He said that, despite some players getting a bit banged up over the course of the game, the Chiefs were able to escape the game with no injuries. Naturally, some got hurt from hits and blocks, but nobody sustained any injuries that lingered,
The team had their fair share of injuries in the offseason, most notably Chris Jones and Justin Reid on the defense. But, they both made speedy recovers, and both played key roles in the team’s win on Thursday.
here a few more concerning injuries on offense, mainly Marquise Brown and his shoulder injury that he sustained in the preseason against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Backup running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire also remains out for four games with PTSD symptoms.
Once the Chiefs get all of their guys back, they will be looking to be even more dangerous than they already are.
