The Dallas Cowboys made the headlines today after finally inking their superstar receiver Ceedee Lamb. After months and months of back-and-forth drama, the Cowboys and Jerry Jones finally gave Lmab the deal he was asking for.
Dallas Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb All Smiles After His Extension
Lamb was holding out for all of training camp seeking exactly what Dallas gave him, a four-year, $136 million deal with $100 million guaranteed, according to reports. An absolutely insane contract by any standards, and the numbers are staggering.
The contract included a $38 million signing bonus, which made Lamb the second highest-paid player who is not a quarterback in the history of the NFL. And of course, they made him the highest-paid receiver in the history of the Cowboys.
This contract would make anyone as happy as possible, and even more Lamb, who played for this contract and has finally gotten it. Lamb was seen smiling ear to ear while face-timing his personal trainer right after the news broke that he landed the extension.
His trainer posted a screenshot of the Facetime on his Instagram story showing Lamb through the moon after signing the monster deal.

It seems like multiple Dallas Cowboys players are all smiles as his fellow teammate Micah Parson chimed in and was as happy as can be to see his friend get what he’s worth:
“Congratulations to my man, CeeDee Lamb. Man, couldn’t be happier for the guy,” Parsons said. “One of the best dudes in the locker room, one of the best players on our team. And to get the payday he got to take care of his family, I couldn’t be more happy for CeeDee …
“It’s a dream to be watching you, to partner up with you, to suit up with you every week. So congratulations on your bread. You earned every dollar.”
Dallas remained optimistic throughout the entire offseason that would be able to come to terms with Lamb for the long term. He was going to have to play on the final year of his contract if he didn’t get this new deal, but that is all irrelevant now.
NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported that negotiations “started really getting steam Saturday” and the $34 million yearly salary was what Lamb and his representation had been seeking “forever.”
Lamb has been one of the best in the game since entering the league, and last season his stats would tell you that he was the best in the NFL. He made first-team All-Pro while finishing third in the voting for Offensive Player of the Year.
So far in his career Lamb has totaled: 395 catches, 5,145 receiving yards, and 32 receiving touchdowns in 66 career games. Lamb should put up another monster year, especially after earning his money. Dallas will need him as they lost many other weapons this off-season.
