What to know
It’s back-to-back road games and back-to-back Harbaugh head coaches for the Raiders as they take on John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens in Week 2.
The Ravens kicked off the NFL season against the Super Bowl champion Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, which resulted in a loss by inches when the potential game-winning TD to Isaiah Likely was overturned by replay. Lamar Jackson, the reigning NFL MVP, will surely be a handful for the Raiders. His dual-threat abilities were on full display last week as he totaled 395 offensive yards – 122 of those being rushing yards.
“He’s definitely as good as it gets, as dynamic as it gets,” Christian Wilkins said. “The definition of a dual threat. He presents a great challenge to any defense in this league. … Pat [Graham] will work hard to get a good game plan together, so that way we can try and limit some of those things that he does. But even then, it’s different when you still got to go against him. But I believe in our guys, and I believe in our coaches and our scheme.”
Jackson was reportedly absent from the team’s Monday practice. Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the QB was “a bit sore” but the expectation is that he’ll return to practice later in the week.
